Our menus have changed in order for us to adapt to staffing levels and guidance from the goverment. We have had no choice but to strip back to a more basic offering focusing on easy simple cooking with the freshest of ingredients. Please see our COVID page…
Lunch overlooking the harbor isn’t easy to find in Padstow but luckily we at The Basement are right on the quay with stunning views of the yachts and fishing boats, and perfectly positioned for everyones guilty pleasure…people watching! Lunch is a casual affair run on a first come first served basis so no reservation is required. However between mid-September until the end of May we do offer a Sunday lunch which is advisable to book.
The menu is aimed at fresh, quick easy lunches from the obligatory burger right through to the freshest of local fish and shellfish. It also features salads when the weather warms and some lighter sandwich options as well as a soup or two.
Not to mention when the boys can get out to sea we have additional boards to make the most of their catch. This can include Lobsters, Whole Brown Crab, Pollock, Bass, Bream, Scallops, Turbot, Monkfish – if you’re lucky!
