Cornwall is a proud county.

Cornishmen and women will be quick to tell you that the end of the land is home to the best beaches, bakeries and beers, and we couldn’t agree more. That’s why we source locally wherever possible – not only to provide you with top quality ingredients and beverages but also to support the local farmers, brewers and business owners who continue to produce delicious Cornish produce over the years.

Many of our 22 local suppliers are only a stones throw from our quayside front door in Padstow. The seafood we serve you is predominantly from the oceans out front, brought in by the local
boats. Fresh crab is supplied by Padstow Shellfish, a small family run business, and our mussels and award winning Porthilly Oysters are from Rock Shellfish, just across the estuary. Matt Stevens and Sons brings us delicious fish from stunning St. Ives and just across the border, in neighbouring Devon, we use S&J Fisheries and Kingfisher, who drop us seafood straight from the ports. Devon is also home to Forest Produce, who supply all the extra special ingredients we need to make sure your dishes are to die for.

If you’re a regular visitor to gorgeous Padstow then it’s likely you’ve popped into Padstow Farm Shop, situated just before the sleepy hamlet of Crugmeer, in between Padstow and Trevone Bay. The salad and vegetables we source from here are guaranteed to be fresh, locally grown on farms in the area and always of fantastic quality. WestCountry and Total Produce deliver seasonal fruit and veg to our door from south and central Cornwall, meaning our kitchen is always brimming with local produce, which our chefs love.

AA Quality Meats have supplied the Cornish hospitality industry for over 10 years and we couldn’t have more faith in these top quality, west country butchers. As they are just up the road we can know for sure where our meat comes from, making sure only the best reaches your plate. We also use B and N Farm Foods, who rear their own happy and healthy pork and beef on their farm in Launceston.

A few miles up the Padstow estuary you’ll find Wadebridge – a bustling little town home to the local secondary school, an array of Cornish owned cafes and plenty of independent shops, all lining the river Camel. Taylors of Wadebridge supply our sausages, cheese and bacon, which we get delivered straight to our door as and when we need it. The delicious crusty, artisan bread that accompanies our mussels, bisques and soups is baked at Da Bara Bakery, and all our dairy produce arrives from Williams Dairy – they’ve been producing cream since 1900!

“Where is my wine from?” We hear you cry, “Who brews my beer?!” – we couldn’t be prouder to source the majority of our tipples from Cornish owned, family run businesses such as Camel Valley, Knightor, Burdett Wines, Sharps Brewery, Cornish Orchards and Tarquins. We have kept it Cornish, right down to our coffee from Cornico.

We are, of course, inspired by tastes and flavours all over the world. You’ll find Rosé from across the pond, Sauvignon from the other side of the globe and bubbles bottled in Italy. But our hearts have always been in The Duchy… There’s just something in the water here!
